"My daily
hike, and Faery nests too!"
These pictures
were all taken on July 31st, '08, as a sample of my hike during this
time of the year. |

Starting
down the trail, I spot these seeds hanging over, a potential faery hangout. |
Dipper
birds let out a warning when dogs or humans are near... |
The
path I take winds along an old 49er ditch, created to supply water to
wash out the gold. |
Ah,
and here's a faery nest. Otherwise known as "Queen Anne's Lace,"
you can see how it makes a great place for fae. |
Some
fronds along the water... |

A
wide spot in Deer Creek (seperate from the earlier ditch) lets the waters
calm and make for a nice reflecting pool. |
A
leaf floats upon the calm water. |
This
wall was constructed by the 49ers to create the ditch seen earlier. |
Approaching
a hidden nook where I like to write, read, or just hang out. |

| The reflecting pool matched with sky above. | My
secret nook, where I sit upon the rock beneath that small tree growing
out of a cleft in the boulder. |
Looking
out from my perch, I've a small waterfall to the left... |
...and the reflecting pool in front. | To the right I have this rocky wall. If you can see this in stereo, you're in for a real treat! | Trees
along the ditch. |

Looking
back at my nook, in stereo. |
A
faery boarding spot. |
The
reflecting pool, awesome in stereo! |
Walking
back along the path, a lowering sun illuminates the leaves. |
The
leaves a bit closer, full of depth in stereo. |
Looking
up the trunk of a tree, arching upwards through the foliage. |

Grasses
hang over the 49er wall. |
Seed
fluffs in stereo. |
A
turkey vulture circles above. |
You
can almost see the impression made by the faery in this nest. |
This
shows a progression from "faerie's nest" to open lacework. |
As
the sun dropped, I couldn't resist this shot through some curly seed
fluffs. |

Here
the fluffs without the stereo.
