March, '97:

Finally! I've got a site on line! And why "ahoymatey.com?" Well "ahoymatey" was my "handle" for a few years when I was with AOL. At one point I dropped it in favor of another, but someone else got it in the Spring of '95. I regretted it, and decided not to lose my chance with the domain name.
With my site it's been really exciting getting all my ideas and concepts together: finally, I've got my concept of a maze, with it's colored table cells and reduced gif/jpg real estate. Finally, in the secret room, my stereo combinations, with original photos courtesy of NASA, our Shuttle-nauts, and our own tax dollars!
Another thing I've done was to implement some non-visible graphic links. I just find those link borders kind of unsightly. I figure if the graphics are intuitive enough, why keep the training wheels? (It would be like putting flourescent borders around doors on cars and buildings.)

All of the above concepts are original. I copied them only from the clipboard drawn in my imagination. All the artwork in this site is original, too. (For example, all the wooden signs and frames originally came from digitized videos taken of wooden cabinet doors, then pieced together in Photoshop.)

And finally, credit where credit's due: thanks to my instructors at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills: Andrea Schwartz, whose terrific attitude made Photoshop class even more fun to look forward to, and Bob Cormia for all his support. Thanks Bob;-)

Yours truly with the original Campbell signpost.

Note about the form: I've switched providers,
so I no longer have the cgi to run it. I'll leave
it up as a "just in case" though, for the future. :-)
